Maquette van jouw Fictieve School
Vanaf week 41 ga je samen met een klasgenoot een ‘snuffelstage’ lopen op een middelbare school in – de omgeving van- Rotterdam. Je krijgt inzicht in de verschillende facetten van het onderwijs en onderzoekt de rollen van de leerling, de docent en de omgeving waarin zij functioneren: Wat is een optimale leeromgeving? Hoe bereidt een docent zich voor? Hoe ziet de structuur van een school eruit, de logistiek, de dynamiek? Wat voor opdrachten worden er gegeven? Wat valt je op aan de interactie tussen de klas (of leerling) en de docent?
Dit onderzoek naar het gebouw werk je uit in een maquette naar aanleiding van het artikel ‘De Fictieve School’ van Nicky Heijmen*. Wat valt je op aan het gebouw, het klaslokaal of bv de kantine en wat zou je anders willen ontwerpen? Nu we in een periode van online-lesgeven zitten, verandert ook de functie van een gebouw. Hoe ziet de school van de toekomst eruit?
Werk je onderzoek uit in een maquette naar eigen inzicht. Maak daarbij gebruik van een of meerdere stations, je kunt hiervoor meerdere technieken gebruiken. Werk procesmatig en leg je onderzoek vast in je portfolio.
Model of your Fictional School
From week 41 you and a classmate will do a 'work experience internship' at a secondary school in - the area of - Rotterdam. You gain insight into the various facets of education and examine the roles of the student, the teacher and the environment in which they function: What is an optimal learning environment? How does a teacher prepare? What does the structure of a school look like, the logistics, the dynamics? What kind of assignments are given? What do you notice about the interaction between the class (or student) and the teacher?
You will elaborate this research into the building in a model based on the article 'The Fictional School' by Nicky Heijmen*. What do you notice about the building, the classroom or, for example, the canteen and what would you like to design differently? Now that we are in a period of online teaching, the function of a building is also changing. What does the school of the future look like?
Work out your research in a model according to your own insight. Use one or more stations, you can use several techniques for this. Work process-based and record your research in your portfolio.

De maquette is goed gemaakt, het vormt een eenheid aan materialen (wat best knap is als je metaal en prints combineert), mooi demontabel, goed gebruik gemaakt van stations. Het totaalplaatje staat hierin centraal, daarin is goed te zien dat je over alle onderdelen nadenkt. De ronde vorm is zichtbaar, de natuur wat minder. Wellicht omdat je alles wil vertegenwoordigen: soms kan het helpen om vanuit details te werken, dan wordt de boodschap explicieter (zoals in je Alter Ego). Neemt niet weg dat je in staat bent goede vaardigheden in te zetten in de dingen die je maakt. Je hebt veel nieuwe dingen geprobeerd, heel goed!

The model is well made, it forms a unity of materials (which is quite clever when you combine metal and prints), nicely demountable, good use of stations. The overall picture is central to this, it is easy to see that you think about all the parts. The round shape is visible, nature less so. Perhaps because you want to represent everything: sometimes it can help to work from details, then the message becomes more explicit (as in your Alter Ego). Nevertheless, you are able to use good skills in the things you make. You have tried many new things, very good!
